Show-Me Ink — Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of showmeink.com and the Show-Me Ink matching service. Show-Me Ink is operated by Miller Black Works Enterprises LLC, doing business as Show-Me Ink ("Show-Me Ink," "we," "us," "our"). By submitting an intake form, paying a deposit, or purchasing a matching product, you agree to these Terms.

1. What Show-Me Ink is

Show-Me Ink is a tattoo matching and concierge service. We introduce clients to independent, licensed Missouri tattoo artists based on the client's idea, style, placement, and budget.

We do not perform tattoos, piercings, or any body-art services. All tattoo work is performed solely by the independent artist you are matched with, at that artist's studio, under that artist's own license, policies, and pricing.

2. How matching works

• Free intake. Tell us your tattoo idea through our intake form at no charge. When we match you, the matching fee is charged to the artist — never to you.
• $40 booking deposit (optional). A refundable $40 deposit locks in your personal match and puts your request first in line. The full $40 is credited toward your tattoo price — it is not a fee. If we cannot match you with a suitable artist, the deposit is refunded in full. If you no-show or cancel last-minute, the deposit is forfeited, consistent with standard shop policy.
• Priority Tattoo Match ($50). A paid fast-match product for time-sensitive requests (e.g., tourists on a short trip). This fee covers the matching service and is separate from the artist's tattoo price.

Submitting an intake is a request for matching, not a booking confirmation. A session is only booked once you and the matched artist agree on design, price, date, and location.

3. Artists are independent

Every artist in our network is an independent contractor — not an employee, agent, or partner of Show-Me Ink. We screen artists for Missouri licensure and portfolio quality, but we do not control their studios, schedules, techniques, or artistic judgment. Your tattoo agreement is between you and the artist.

4. No guarantees

We work hard to make great matches, but we do not guarantee artist availability, response times, specific timelines, or any particular artistic outcome. Tattooing is a creative service performed by human artists; results vary.

5. Client responsibilities

• You must be 18 or older to use this service. Tattooing a minor is illegal in Missouri, and we will not match anyone under 18.
• Provide accurate information in your intake (idea, size, placement, budget, timeline).
• Show up on time for confirmed sessions and communicate changes promptly.
• Disclose relevant health conditions, allergies (including latex and ink sensitivities), and medications to your artist before being tattooed.
• Follow your artist's aftercare instructions.

6. Assumption of risk and limitation of liability

Tattooing carries inherent risks, including pain, bleeding, infection, allergic reaction, scarring, and dissatisfaction with the artistic result. By proceeding with a matched session, you voluntarily assume these risks as between you and the artist performing the work.

To the maximum extent permitted by Missouri law:

• Show-Me Ink is not liable for the work, conduct, studio conditions, pricing, or scheduling of any independent artist.
• Show-Me Ink's total liability to you for any claim arising from the matching service is limited to the amount you paid directly to Show-Me Ink (for example, a Priority Match fee or booking deposit).
• You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Miller Black Works Enterprises LLC, doing business as Show-Me Ink, from claims arising out of your tattoo session with a matched artist.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability where Missouri law does not permit it.

7. Refunds and cancellations

• Unmatched $40 deposits are refunded in full.
• Forfeited deposits (no-show / last-minute cancellation) are non-refundable.
• Priority Match fees cover the matching work performed and are non-refundable once matching has begun, except where we fail to deliver any match.

8. Intellectual property

All content on showmeink.com — text, branding, the Show-Me Ink name and compass logo, graphics, and page designs — is owned by Miller Black Works Enterprises LLC and may not be copied or reused without written permission. Tattoo designs created by matched artists belong to those artists and their clients under their own agreements.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The current version will always be posted at showmeink.com, and continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.

10. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. If a dispute arises, contact us first at info@showmeink.com or (417) 386-0216 — most issues resolve with a conversation.
